Westhills Construction Update

Construction of the Willows Phase 3A has re-commenced for the 2024 construction season. Part of this year’s construction involves some repair work to the existing sanitary sewer line in the intersection of Cartwright Street and Cartwright Terrace where the new sanitary sewer and water mains were tied in last year.
Local traffic to 201 and 301 Cartwright will be maintained for the duration of the construction period as per the detour map below. Unlike last year, two-way traffic will be maintained on Cartwright Street both north and south of Cartwright Terrace. The detour will take effect Monday, May 27, 2024 for a period of three to four weeks.
Similar to the work completed last year, the intersection construction will also include the installation of a temporary overland water line to continue service to 201 and 301 Cartwright Terrace as the water main in the street will have to be turned off for the duration of construction. The water quality will not be affected during this time.
The temporary water line has already been partially set up and chlorinated and will be put into service in the days leading up to the detour.
A construction access directly off Cartwright Street prior to the curve and away from the residential properties that was constructed last year be used again this year such that construction traffic will not have to travel through the existing community.
